When can we access our container?

How do we get access to your site?

Our Cramlington Site operates an electronic fob gate system. Simply present your fob to the pad at the gate to open it and allow access. Upon finishing your hire, the fob should be returned to us along with your container key.

How many keys do we get?

Accepted Answer

You will be given one key for your container lock and a fob for gate access. All container lock keys must be returned after your hire period. There will be a £25 + VAT key deposit on your first invoice and will be refunded when the key is returned at the end of your hire.

Is there a minimum hire period?

Yes, our minimum hire period is one week. We ask for the first month’s payment in advance. If you finish the hire early, after the minimum one-week period, any unused days will be refunded along with your key deposit once the key and fob are returned.

How do I pay for the storage hire?

On first hiring a unit from us, you will be charged a month’s hire in advance as well as a key deposit. After that, we will invoice you monthly. Payments can be made by Direct Debit, Bank Transfer (BACS), or Credit/Debit Card. All invoices will have payment links and bank details.

Are there any extra charges?

Are your containers weatherproof and dry?

Yes, our modern newbuild steel containers are secured against all weather conditions, keeping your items safe and dry in all conditions.

Do your containers suffer from condensation?

Accepted Answer

While our containers are modern and generally have very few issues, they are unheated. Condensation can occur if moisture is already present and the temperature drops. To minimise this, we recommend storing your items on a dry day.

Will my goods be insured?

We do not provide insurance. We request that you arrange insurance for your goods — there are various competitive insurance providers available online.

Are your containers secure?

Accepted Answer

All our containers are constructed from Corten ‘A’ Steel and secured with a specialist container padlock. Additionally, our Cramlington site is monitored by CCTV 24/7.

What happens if I have a problem with my container?

If you experience any issues with your container, such as damage to the structure or malfunctioning locks, please contact us right away. We take container maintenance seriously and will investigate and resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

Question 12

What happens if I lose my key?

Accepted Answer

Contact us immediately. We will either issue a replacement key or arrange for the lock to be cut and replaced. For your protection, we may ask for identification and proof of hire. Note: there are extra charges for lost replacement keys.

Question 13

When I have finished, can I leave items for you to dispose of?

No, we ask that you completely empty your container when your hire period ends. If we need to dispose of any items left behind, a disposal fee will apply.

Question 14

When I have finished using the storage, what do I do?

Return the key and fob to us at the Cramlington site, or leave them in the letterbox by the gate. We will then update your account, refund any unused portion of your monthly payment (subject to the minimum hire period), and return your key deposit.
