Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before hiring a storage container from EXO Storage.

1. Definitions

“We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to EXO Storage Ltd, 1 Dene Court, Bassington Lane, Cramlington, Northumberland, NE23 8HS. “You”, “Your” refers to the person or company hiring a storage container from us. “Container” refers to the storage container hired by you. “Site” refers to our Cramlington storage facility.

2. Access and Use

You may access the Site 24/7 using the electronic fob provided to you at the start of your hire. You must not share your fob or key with any unauthorised persons. You are responsible for all persons you allow to access the Site and your container. The container must be used only for lawful storage purposes. You must not store any hazardous, illegal, perishable, or flammable materials.

3. Rental and Payment Terms

The minimum hire period is one (1) week. The first month's hire is payable in advance, along with a key deposit of £25.00 + VAT. After the initial period, invoices will be issued monthly. Payment can be made by Direct Debit, Bank Transfer (BACS), or Credit/Debit Card. Late payments may incur additional charges. All invoices include payment links and bank details.

4. Loading and Unloading

You are responsible for loading and unloading your own goods. We do not provide labour or equipment for moving items. You must ensure that items are stored securely within the container and that the container is properly locked at all times.

5. Main Services

We provide secure, weatherproof container storage at our Cramlington site. Our containers are constructed from Corten ‘A’ Steel and are designed to protect your belongings from weather conditions. We provide electronic fob gate access, CCTV monitoring, and specialist container padlocks.

6. Maintenance, Care, and Alterations

You must not make any alterations, modifications, or attachments to the container without our prior written consent. You must keep the container in a clean and tidy condition. You must not paint, drill into, or otherwise damage the container. Any damage caused by you or your visitors will be charged accordingly.

7. Repairs

We are responsible for maintaining the structural integrity of the container. Please report any defects or damage as soon as they are noticed. We will investigate and resolve issues as quickly as possible.

8. Warranties

While we take all reasonable measures to provide secure storage, we do not guarantee the absolute security of your goods. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, storm, theft, or vandalism.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the hire agreement by giving reasonable notice. The minimum hire period of one week must be observed. Upon termination, you must remove all goods from the container and return the key and fob.

10. Following Termination

Upon termination, any unused portion of your monthly payment will be refunded (subject to the minimum hire period). Your key deposit will be refunded upon return of the key and fob. Items left in the container after termination will incur a disposal charge of a minimum of £100.00 + VAT.

11. Insurance and Indemnity

We do not provide insurance for your stored goods. You are strongly advised to arrange your own insurance cover. Various competitive insurance providers are available online. You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the container or the Site.

12. Identification Marks

You must not remove, obscure, or alter any identification marks, labels, or numbering on the container. These are required for site management purposes.

13. CCTV System

Our Cramlington site is monitored by CCTV 24/7 for security purposes. By accessing the site, you consent to being recorded by our CCTV system. CCTV footage may be shared with law enforcement authorities where necessary.

14. Errors and Omissions

While every effort is made to ensure accuracy in our communications and documentation, we reserve the right to correct any errors or omissions.

15. Availability

Container availability is subject to demand. We will make every effort to accommodate your requirements but cannot guarantee availability of specific container sizes or locations.

16. Notice

Any notices required under these terms should be sent to our registered address or via email to info@exostorage.co.uk.

17. Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, or sub-let your container hire without our prior written consent.

18. GDPR Compliance

We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our Privacy Policy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

19. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, pandemic, industrial action, or government restrictions.

20. Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
